2022-02-14-Mackinac-Bridge-Iron-Mountain: After Skiplane weekend at Cadillac, Michigan (KCAD), I drove back to Fort Collins via the Mackinac Bridge from the lower peninsula to the upper peninsula of Michigan to visit a friend in Iron Mountain, Michigan. What a delightful place that is! It has the Ford Airport, (KIMT), a world famous ski jump (really!!) and that is where Kingsford Briquet(SP) originated from wood scraps leftover from the Ford cars built there. Kingsford County is where the name came from. Traveling further, I drove thru the backwoods of Wisconsin thru Antigo, Wausau, then Minneapolis, across I-90 south thru the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, then Gordon, Alliance and Scottsbluff Nebraska to home. 02/14/22-02/16/22.
