2022-02-11-KCAD-Skiplane: Skiplane Weekend at Cadillac, Michigan (KCAD) is wonderful time to visit with aviation friends and fly Piper Cubs and some homebuilt aircraft on skis on the snow covered runways and lakes at and near Cadillac. We stayed at the Evergreen Resort and enjoyed their restaurant(s) and pool. There is a golf course, but it is covered with snow in the winter. Many winter people base their snowmobile and snow recreation vacations here. This family oriented adventure occurs annually on or about Valentines day, by invitation only. Since I drove this year because of weather, airline and rental car considerations, I also stopped at the Strategic Air Command Museum near Omaha and the Kalamazoo Air Zoo on my way to Cadillac.
