2020-09-22-Hot-Springs-SD: Lunch at Hot Springs, South Dakota. Larry Edwards flew his Bonanza, N4759M from Northern Colorado Regional Airport (KFNL), Loveland, CO to Hot Springs Airport (KHSR), South Dakota. We toured the little town of Hot Springs, population ~3500, the Veteran's Hospital grounds and the amazing sandstone buildings. Hot Springs is famous for "Evans Plunge", billed as "The largest INDOOR hot springs in the world". The Mammoth Site of Hot Springs, SD is a museum and an active paleontological dig, which boasts the largest concentration of mammoth remains in the world! The current mammoth count is 61, with 58 Columbian and 3 woolly mammoths.
