2015-09-03-Carbon-Cub-Mountain-Flying: Thursday, Sep 03, 2015, Dick brought his excellent Carbon Cub CC11-160 to Colorado, to do the flying portion of the Colorado Pilots Association Mountain Flying Courses. We based at Fort Collins-Loveland (KFNL) Airport at Loveland, flew over Sprague Pass at RMNP, to Granby (KGNB) Airport, then to Kremmling (20V) airport, down the Colorado River to State Bridge, then a weather divert as Aspen and Leadville had rain and low ceilings to Steamboat Springs (KSBS) Airport, across Walden (33V) Airport, another weather divert north toward Laramie (KLAR), then US-287 south to KFNL, where we landed on KFNL RWY-24 with winds 290-14G26. An excellent training day in the Colorado Rockys!
